Terms of Services

These Terms and Conditions are effective immediately.

The ideal cleaning situation is when no one is home. Since this is not always possible, please eliminate as many distractions as possible so our technician can work uninterrupted. In addition:

  • You don’t need to clean before we come but do pick up as much as possible. This will allow us to focus more on detail and quality for you.
  • Secure all pets.

All rooms

We do not climb higher than a 2-step ladder. High items will only be dusted with an extension duster.

We cannot move furniture, but we will try to reach visible places by hand or with an extension duster. Most homes have at least one chandelier or vaulted ceiling fan we cannot reach by hand.

Please allow for some dust resettlement after we leave. We try to limit the dust in the air but cannot prevent it entirely.

Leave the vacuum where the technician can find it easily, or contact the office to let us know where to find it. If you have carpeted stairs and would like them cleaned, the vacuum would need to have a hose attachment.

Bedroom

Leave clean sheets out on the bed that you want to be changed. The technician will change the sheets and place the dirty bedding in your laundry room.

Bathroom

Place the toilet brush in a conspicuous place (besides the bowl is best) so our technician can easily find it.

If there is no toilet bowl brush in a visible area, please note that we will skip cleaning the inside of that bowl.

Blinds

We do not clean miniblinds. We cannot move furniture to get to the blinds.

Breakage policy

It’s bound to happen. We hate it when it does and do our best to prevent it. The following is critical communication regarding our breakage policies:

  • Our technicians are trained to report breakage by taking a picture of the item and sending the picture to the office.
  • They will leave you a note letting you know about the breakage.
  • Someone from our office team will contact you if breakage occurs in your home.

Sometimes breakage occurs when there are loose items such as unsecured pictures, broken or top heavy items with unsteady bases, and wobbly, tipping objects. Each incident is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We cannot take responsibility for these items.

Please remove unstable breakables to a place we do not clean. We will pay up to $100 per breakage item when the value is verifiable. Please move expensive figurines, family heirlooms, etc., to an area we do not clean or have us skip that area completely if you do not wish to accept the risk.

In some cases, we will have a broken object repaired by a professional company. Breakage values over $25 must be verified before replacement will be authorized. We reserve the right to choose the repair company.

Access to your home & Lockout policy

We have a couple of options for you

  • Please provide us with a code (garage, key pad, etc.) or
  • MOPPS can provide an alternative way to facilitate entry. Ask for details.

We cannot accept keys.

If, for any circumstance, our staff is sent away or locked out from your home, you will be charged the $50.00 fee.

We will make every effort to work within the time frames requested but ask not to be sent away during our working hours.

Guarantee

MOPPS guarantees your satisfaction with the service you booked. If we fail to clean an area to your satisfaction that is included in the service you booked, please notify our office within 24 hours and we will come back and re-clean the area(s) for free.
